CONTENT MANAGEMENT - INSIDE THE FRONTEND PLATFORM

Schema-based content management,

multilingual, with visual composition right inside Studio and a Content Agent that automates the operational grunt work. Part of the Agentic Frontend Management Platform, not a separate tool.

Inhalte verwalten

Content belongs where it's delivered. With Laioutr you manage structured content Collections, multilingual entries, validation, and publishing right inside the Cockpit - in the same platform where the frontend is built, delivered, and optimized.

The Content Agent runs alongside in the background: translations, product copy, A/B variants, and SEO tags are produced continuously, not in quarterly sprints.

Schema basiertes Content Management

CMS

Content management at Laioutr is the schema-based management of structured content right inside the Cockpit of the frontend platform.

You define content types (Collections), fill them with Entries, maintain them across languages, and publish them through a clear status workflow.

Unlike classic headless CMS, content management doesn't live in a separate tool here - it's a layer within the Agentic Frontend Management Platform. Studio (visual composition), Storefront (delivery), Orchestr (backend connectivity), Cloud (infrastructure), and the Content Agent (AI layer) mesh together with no glue code.

Schema-based

Every Collection has a defined shape - fields, validations, languages. Content is structured, and therefore reusable everywhere.

Multilingual out of the box

Multi-language isn't a plugin, it's built in. Tabs per language, default marking, bulk operations.

Agent-assisted

The Content Agent generates, translates, optimizes, and audits continuously - operational content work becomes control work.

Multi Market

At Laioutr, multilingualism isn't an add-on.

It's the standard.

In the entry editor you switch between languages via tabs; the default language carries a marking so you don't change it by accident. Fields you edit on one language tab apply only to that language. Fields that clearly don't need translation (e.g. SKUs, date formats, technical IDs) you configure in the schema as language-independent.

What that means in practice: one Collection definition, n language versions per entry, all in one Cockpit. No forks, no copies, no translation-sync sprints.

This is where the real difference with classic headless CMS lies:

content entries are linked directly to frontend components in Studio - visually, without code mapping.

In the classic headless setup, linking content to a component is an engineering task: fetch the data, map it, pipe it through, render it in the frontend. With Laioutr you do it visually. In the Studio editor you pick a component, click the property panel, and bind a content field from your Collection. Live preview shows instantly how it looks in the frontend.

Per component you define which content can be bound, which fields are required, which are optional. When a marketing team member builds a new landing page, they drag the component into Studio and immediately see a selection of the matching content entries - no searching, exporting, or copying in the CMS.

Focused on the outcome

Always on the same page – no need to ask.

Every entry has a clear status that tells you instantly where it stands. Three statuses, three meanings. They make sure the marketing team and the tech team always see the same state - no sync meeting, no spreadsheet, no "is this live yet?".

Status draft

Draft
Work in progress. The entry exists but isn't public. You can experiment safely - zero impact on live storefronts.

Status changed

Changed
The entry was live once, but there are unpublished changes. The old version keeps running, the new one waits for approval. Perfect for prepping without breaking live content.

Status live

Live
Published. The entry is visible on the storefronts that render it. Unpublish brings it back to draft state anytime, without deleting it.

Simplicity

Three content types. One Cockpit.

Not every piece of content should be maintained the same way. Three content types, three use cases - all in the same platform. Whatever the type, everything sits in one Cockpit, in the same rendering layer, with the same performance.

Structured content

Content that's created once and reused many times. Structured in Collections, cleanly typed, referenceable from anywhere.

Examples: product descriptions, service packages, employee profiles, blog articles, FAQ entries, brand statements

Volatile content

Content that only lives in a specific context - a campaign, a landing page, a banner. Often composed directly in Studio rather than in Collections.

Examples: hero banners for seasonal campaigns, Black Friday special copy, regional promo messages, announcement banners

Generative content

AI-generated or AI-optimized content - headlines, product-description variants, localized copy, SEO tags. Produced by the Content Agent.

Examples: personalized CTAs, auto-translated product copy, A/B test variants, automatic SEO meta tags

AGENTIC CMS

Agentic content management

Content operations are the most invisible cost center in modern commerce teams. Hundreds of product texts, five languages, three brand tones, monthly refreshes, SEO tweaks, personalization variants.

Until now: manual sprint work. With Laioutr: a continuous background process.

Generate

Headlines, product descriptions, meta tags, category copy - at the click of a button or automatically when new entries are created.

Translate

Multi-language versions straight from the default content, in your brand tone, with local adaptations - not just word-for-word translation.

Vary

A/B test versions per headline, CTA, or description. The agent produces 3–5 variants, the system tests them automatically in the frontend.

Optimize

Existing content is checked and improved for SEO, conversion, and readability. Refresh instead of rewrite - and only when the data calls for it.

Personalize

Segment-specific variants - different for first-time customers, different for VIPs, different for region DE vs. FR. Wired into the Display Conditions layer in Studio.

Audit

Find gaps, flag outdated content, identify missing translations. The agent reports where content debt is piling up before it becomes visible.

The comparison

What changes economically.

Three typical tasks that today take weeks or months and become background routine with the Content Agent. The numbers are orders of magnitude from real customer setups, not marketing figures. Sprint tasks turn into background routines. Costs turn into control workflows.

AGENTIC CONTENT MANAGEMENT

You steer the strategy. The agent iterates.

Static content management is a model from the 2010s. You write once, you publish, you forget - until someone notices that half of it is out of date.

That no longer works in a world where market language, customer expectations, and SEO standards change faster than editorial sprints. The answer isn't "hire even more copywriters" - it's content that grows with you.

The Content Agent is the layer that delivers on that. Content isn't written once and then managed. It's continuously reconciled and optimized against performance data, brand guidelines, and market conditions. You steer the strategy. The agent delivers the iteration.

You set the direction. The agent delivers the iteration.

Agentic frontend management platform
Brand guardrails

What you steer and what the agent delivers.

AI without control is a risk. AI with clear guardrails is leverage. The Content Agent runs within the boundaries you set - not outside them. Brand compliance isn't the Content Agent's risk. It's its precondition.

You steer

  • Brand tone (formal vs. casual, short vs. detailed)

  • Banned words and linguistic taboos

  • Style guidelines per brand and per market

  • Context sources the agent is allowed to use (internal documents, external APIs, product databases)

  • Which capabilities are active and which aren't

  • Approval workflows: what goes live directly, what needs review

The agent delivers

  • Content in the tone you want, without taboo words

  • A consistent brand voice across all languages and brands - A/B variants in your style, not in generic AI-speak

  • Translations with local adaptations instead of dictionary translation

  • Refresh suggestions with a rationale (why now, what specifically)

  • Audit reports that show where content debt sits

CMS FEATURES

COMPOSABLE

No silo. Just stack.

Three ways Laioutr merges seamlessly with your tooling.

Content management at Laioutr isn't isolated - it's part of a composable stack. Three ways content works together with your existing tooling.

Digital experience platform

Connect an external CMS

If your team already uses Storyblok, Contentful, or Hygraph, connect these sources through the Connect layer. Content flows into Studio as if it were native. Step-by-step migration or federation, as needed.

Consume backend data

Product data, orders, customer states come from your commerce backend (Shopify, OXID, Shopware, etc.). In the content editor you reference them like native content, without custom API mapping.

Multi-source visual management

In Studio you combine content from Laioutr Collections, an external CMS, and the commerce backend in one interface. Marketing builds pages from multiple data sources without knowing which piece comes from which tool.

HEADLESS CMS

The right tools for the right job.

Laioutr Content Management covers most commerce-frontend needs right inside the platform. But there are use cases where a dedicated headless CMS is the right complement - and for exactly those cases we have deep partnerships with the leading vendors. To us, composability doesn't mean "build everything yourself" - it means "the right tools for the right job".

Headless frontend

You need content for more than just the web frontend

If your content is delivered in parallel across mobile apps, voice assistants, in-store displays, print catalogs, or through partner APIs, a dedicated headless CMS is worth it - it's built for exactly that. Laioutr Content Management stays the frontend layer, the headless CMS becomes the single source of truth for all channels.

Your content team is large and works with complex approvals

If your team has worked in an established headless CMS for years and thousands of entries live there, migration is expensive and risky. We dock in through the Connect layer - you keep your CMS, we deliver the frontend layer around it.

FAQ

Frequently asked.

Not in the classic sense. Classic headless CMS (Storyblok, Contentful, Hygraph) deliver content via API — the frontend stays your job. Laioutr Content Management is a layer within the frontend platform: schema, editor, multi-language, Studio composition, delivery, all in one platform. If you want to use a dedicated headless CMS, you can connect it through the Connect layer - we have official partnerships with Contentful, Storyblok, and Hygraph.

Collections are defined through the schema of your frontend project - by a Laioutr app, a developer, or the platform configuration. In the Cockpit you then choose the fields by configuration. This prevents "free-floating" collections that never make it into the frontend.

Text fields, numbers, select lists (single/multi), links (References), media references, rich text, multi-references, measurements, and more - depending on your project's schema configuration. Complex custom field types can be extended.

Yes. Multi-language is built in: tabs per language, default marking, per-field configuration (some fields are language-independent). Bulk operations enable mass updates across multiple languages. External translation tools (Crowdin, Lokalise) can be connected through the Connect layer, and the Content Agent translates at the click of a button, in your brand's tone of voice.

Publish stays blocked. Laioutr validates the schema before every publish - broken entries never go live. Faulty fields are visually highlighted, you fix them and try again.

Draft: the entry exists but isn't public (work in progress). Changed: the entry is live but has unpublished changes - the old version keeps running while the new one waits for approval. Live: the entry is published and visible on storefronts. Statuses make it visible where every entry stands, without a sync meeting.

Yes - and more than that, we actively recommend it for certain use cases. Through the Connect layer we integrate the three partner systems deeply. You can run both in parallel (federation), migrate step by step, or keep the CMS as your single source of truth and use Laioutr as the frontend layer.

Backend data (products, prices, stock) is connected through the Orchestr layer. In the content editor and Studio you reference it like native content - no custom API mappings, no engineering sprints per data source.

Six capabilities: generate (headlines, product copy, meta tags), translate (multi-language with brand tone), vary (A/B test versions), optimize (refresh existing content), personalize (segment variants), and audit (surface content debt). Enable them per capability, switch them off anytime, always within the brand guardrails you set.

You do. The agent runs within the brand guardrails you set in the Cockpit - tone of voice, banned words, style guidelines, approval workflows. What goes live directly, what needs review, what only appears as a suggestion - it's all configurable, per capability and per Collection. AI without control is a risk; the agent is deliberately built so that control stays in your hands.

The Content Agent is part of the AFMP's AI layer - we use curated standard models for each task. Custom LLM connectivity (your own endpoints, on-premise setups, industry-specific models) is possible through the AI layer, depending on your plan and your compliance requirements. More on that in the discovery call.

Yes. Per capability, per Collection, per brand, per market. Some teams only enable translation and vary, some also turn on generate, some use the agent exclusively for audits. There's no "all or nothing" mode.

Rule of thumb: if your content needs are primarily commerce-frontend-driven, Laioutr Content Management is enough - faster, leaner, in one platform. If you maintain multi-channel content beyond the frontend (apps, voice, print), run complex editorial workflows with large teams, or pursue content strategies beyond commerce (magazines, brand communication), we actively recommend a dedicated headless CMS and integrate deeply with Contentful, Storyblok, or Hygraph.
