APPROVAL WORKFLOWS

Changes that only go live once they're approved.

Define review and approval steps for every change — including multi-stage flows. Authors submit, reviewers check, approvers release. Part of the Agentic Frontend Management Platform, not a separate tool.

HOW THE APPROVAL WORKFLOW WORKS

Checkpoints instead of gut feeling.

An approval workflow defines who submits a change, who reviews it, and who releases it — before it becomes visible in the frontend. You define the steps once, including multi-stage flows, and every new change runs through them automatically.

The author submits their change. A reviewer checks it, comments, requests adjustments, or approves it. Only the approver switches it live — or schedules the release via Scheduled Publishing.

FLEXIBLE IN SCOPE

From a single text block to a complete release.

Approval workflows apply at every level of your page — you decide what needs a review.

Entire release

Bundle a complete frontend change — for a rebrand or relaunch, for example — into a single approval package. The release only goes live once every stage has passed.

Single page

Landing pages, campaign pages, or product pages run through their own approval workflow — independent of the rest of the site.

Single section or component

A banner, a pricing section, a hero — set up review for exactly the block that's changing, without re-approving the whole page.

IN THREE STEPS

Submit, review, approve.

1. Submit the change

The author builds the change in Studio and submits it for review — in parallel with the version currently live.

2. Go through review

One or more reviewers check the change, comment, request adjustments, or reject it — depending on the configured stage.

3. Approve and go live

The approver releases the reviewed change. It goes live immediately — or on schedule via Scheduled Publishing.

FOR TEAMS WITH CLEAR ROLES

Where approval workflows make the difference.

Editorial teams

Several editors work on the same frontend. Every change runs through the same review before it goes live — no matter who submitted it.

Agencies

The agency builds and submits, the client reviews and approves. Clear roles instead of sign-off by email or Slack message.

Enterprise compliance

Multi-stage approvals, logged in the audit log. Traceable record of who submitted, reviewed, and approved a change — for internal controls and audits.

BENEFITS

Reviewed, not risked.

Approval workflows take the risk out of uncontrolled changes — every change runs through the same steps before it goes live.

Four-eyes principle

No one publishes alone. Every change needs at least a second person to review and approve it.

Configurable multi-stage

One reviewer or several stages with different roles — the workflow adapts to your team and your risk level.

Roles, not chaos

Authors, reviewers, and approvers are clearly separated via roles & permissions. Everyone only sees what belongs to their role.

FAQ

Frequently asked.

You define who can approve via roles & permissions. Typically, you separate authors, reviewers, and approvers into their own roles.

Yes. You can chain several review stages — for example, a subject-matter review first, followed by a final approval from a second role.

A reviewer can comment, request specific changes, reject the submission, or approve it.

An approved change can go live immediately or be scheduled for a later time via Scheduled Publishing — approval and scheduling work together.

Yes. Every submission, comment, and approval is logged in the audit log — including the version, so you can always revert to a reviewed state.
