Acronis

What is Acronis?

Acronis is a data protection and cyber security platform categorised under document management systems. It provides backup, disaster recovery, and endpoint security services used by IT teams to protect business-critical data and systems. In the context of digital experience platforms, it is relevant where data protection and recovery capabilities need to extend to content state and configuration layers.

How it works

Acronis operates through agents deployed on endpoints and servers that execute scheduled or continuous backup jobs to Acronis-managed or self-hosted cloud storage. Recovery operations restore individual files, full system images, or application data within defined recovery point objectives. The platform provides a centralised management console for monitoring protection status across multiple systems from a single interface.

Acronis with Laioutr

Acronis is planned for the Laioutr App Store. Within the Composable Digital Experience Platform, data protection requirements cover not only the commerce and content backends but also the configuration and content state of the frontend layer itself. Once available, teams can connect Acronis protection policies to the Content Management layer within Laioutr, ensuring content state and configuration snapshots are covered by the same backup and recovery tooling used for the broader infrastructure.
