What is AddSearch?

AddSearch is a site search platform categorised under search and recommendations. It provides a hosted search index, a crawler-based content ingestion layer, a search API, and a customisable UI component library. Teams use it to add reliable, fast on-site search to editorial websites, documentation portals, and ecommerce properties without building or maintaining a custom search infrastructure.

How it works

AddSearch crawls the target website on a configurable schedule and builds a full-text search index from the discovered content. The search API accepts query strings and returns ranked results with snippet excerpts and metadata. UI components can be embedded directly in the frontend or the raw API can be consumed to build custom search experiences. Analytics cover search terms, click-through rates, and zero-result queries.

AddSearch with Laioutr

AddSearch is planned for the Laioutr App Store. On the Agentic Frontend Management Platform, the AddSearch integration allows teams to surface indexed content through search components managed within the Laioutr layout layer, without requiring a custom search implementation. Once available, Personalization context from Laioutr can be passed alongside AddSearch queries, and teams working with the B2C Growth Kit can use search analytics to identify content gaps that affect conversion on composable storefronts.
