What is Adobe Commerce?

Adobe Commerce, formerly Magento Commerce, is an enterprise e-commerce backend platform in the e-commerce backend category. It provides product catalog management, order processing, promotions, and customer accounts on self-hosted or cloud-managed infrastructure.

How it works

Adobe Commerce exposes catalog, cart, and checkout data through GraphQL and REST APIs. Storefronts query these APIs independently of the server-side rendering layer. Catalog rules, promotions, and customer groups are managed through the Admin panel.

Adobe Commerce with Laioutr

Adobe Commerce is planned for the Laioutr App Store. Once available, the Headless Frontend for Adobe Commerce in Laioutr will replace Magento templates with a fully composable layer connected via the GraphQL API. The Composable Headless Frontend handles layout and rendering while Adobe Commerce remains the authoritative backend, together operating as a Composable Digital Experience Platform.
