What is AODocs?

AODocs is a document management and business process platform built on Google Workspace, providing structured document libraries, approval workflows, and access control for enterprise content operations. It extends Google Drive with enterprise-grade governance features, including version control, retention policies, and audit trails, making it suitable for organisations that use Google Workspace as their primary collaboration environment but need more structured content management.

How it works

AODocs connects to Google Workspace and exposes its document structures through an API that other systems can query for content objects. Within a Composable Digital Experience Platform, AODocs can serve as a source for structured document content, such as product sheets, compliance documents, or downloadable resources, which the Content Management layer pulls and surfaces on the appropriate pages. Laioutr's content components render these assets within the page layout without requiring manual upload to a separate CMS asset store.

AODocs with Laioutr

AODocs is planned for the Laioutr App Store. Once available, it will connect to the Content Management layer in Laioutr, providing a direct path from AODocs document libraries to storefront and portal pages, enabling content operations teams to maintain a single source of truth for documents without duplicating files across systems.
