What is BigID?

BigID is a data intelligence platform for privacy, security, and governance, enabling organisations to discover, classify, and manage personal and sensitive data across distributed data environments. It automates data discovery across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure, producing a continuously updated data inventory that supports GDPR compliance, data minimisation, and access governance. BigID is used by enterprise security and compliance teams managing large, complex data estates.

How it works

BigID connects to data sources via native connectors, scans for personal and sensitive data, and exposes the resulting data map through an API that privacy management workflows can consume. On the Composable Digital Experience Platform, BigID provides the underlying data inventory that informs consent management decisions and privacy notice accuracy. The WCAG Ready module in Laioutr ensures that any privacy-related UI elements surfaced on the storefront, such as consent banners or data access request forms, meet accessibility standards consistent with the broader data compliance posture.

BigID with Laioutr

BigID is planned for the Laioutr App Store. Once available, it will connect to the Composable Digital Experience Platform and WCAG Ready layers in Laioutr, giving compliance and engineering teams a shared integration for linking data inventory intelligence to the consent and privacy UI components rendered on the storefront.
