Concrete CMS

What is Concrete CMS?

Concrete CMS is an open-source content management system with an in-context editing model that allows editors to modify page content directly on the rendered page rather than in a separate backend interface. It supports a block-based content structure, file management, user and group permissions, and a marketplace of community-contributed add-ons. Organisations with in-house PHP development capacity use it to maintain editorial control without a decoupled architecture.

How it works

Concrete CMS is planned for the Laioutr App Store. The integration is designed to expose Concrete CMS content entries via API to the Composable Visual Page Builder, enabling teams that operate Concrete CMS for editorial workflows to render those entries through Laioutr's frontend composition layer. Content Management responsibility remains in Concrete CMS while the frontend presentation shifts to Laioutr.

Concrete CMS with Laioutr

Once available, content structures built in Concrete CMS feed into the Composable Digital Experience Platform, decoupling the editing experience from the rendering layer. Teams can preserve existing editorial workflows in Concrete CMS and adopt Laioutr for multi-channel delivery, edge caching, and component-based page assembly.
