What is Depict?

Depict is a product discovery and visual merchandising platform in the search and recommendations category. It uses machine learning to arrange product grids, recommend related items, and personalize category pages for e-commerce storefronts, with a focus on visual presentation and merchandising control rather than text-search ranking.

How it works

Depict ingests product catalog data and behavioral signals, then applies ranking models to determine which products appear in which positions on category pages and recommendation modules. Merchandisers can apply manual overrides, pin products, and set business rules on top of the algorithmic default. The platform delivers results through APIs that frontend applications consume in real time.

Depict with Laioutr

Depict is planned for the Laioutr App Store. Once available, it will connect to Laioutr's Agentic Frontend Management Platform so that category pages and product grids rendered through Laioutr reflect Depict's personalized ranking in real time without custom glue code.
