What is Heretto?

Heretto is a component content management system built around structured authoring in DITA. It enables technical writing teams to manage modular content topics, maintain single-sourced documentation, and publish to multiple output formats, including web, PDF, and in-app help, from a single content repository.

How it works

Heretto is planned for the Laioutr App Store as an integration connecting its DITA content repository to the Content Management capability. Documentation topics authored and approved in Heretto can be surfaced on the Composable Digital Experience Platform as help articles, product guides, or knowledge base entries without exporting and reformatting content manually. Once available, technical writing teams retain ownership of content structure in Heretto while Laioutr handles delivery and page composition.

Heretto with Laioutr

The Content Management capability maps Heretto's topic-based content model to Laioutr's component and routing layer, so a documentation update in Heretto propagates to the live page without a separate publish step in the CMS. For organisations running a Composable Digital Experience Platform that includes user-facing documentation, Heretto provides a structured authoring environment while Laioutr manages the presentation layer.
