What is Modern Campus?

Modern Campus is a content management and digital experience platform used primarily by higher education institutions. It provides structured content authoring, site management, and student-facing digital experiences. Institutions looking to modernise their web infrastructure while retaining existing content workflows use it as the source layer for frontend delivery via a Composable Visual Page Builder.

How it works

Modern Campus serves content through APIs that frontend platforms can consume to render pages without tight coupling to the CMS authoring environment. Content Management workflows, including approval routing and scheduled publishing, remain in Modern Campus while the frontend layer handles presentation, personalisation, and performance optimisation. This separation gives institutional IT teams flexibility to evolve either layer independently.

Modern Campus with Laioutr

Modern Campus is planned for the Laioutr App Store. Once available, institutions already using Modern Campus as their authoring backend will be able to connect it to the Composable Digital Experience Platform and serve content through a composable frontend without replacing their existing CMS.
