Optimal Systems, now part of Kyocera, is an enterprise content management platform with a long track record in the German-speaking market. It provides document management, workflow automation, and compliance-ready archiving for mid-size and large organisations. In frontend contexts, it functions as a Content Management backend that governs document access and publication before content appears on digital channels.

How it works

Optimal Systems exposes documents and metadata through APIs and integration connectors that external platforms can use to retrieve content based on document type, status, and access rights. The Composable Digital Experience Platform can query these APIs to populate page components with governed documents, keeping the publication workflow and version history inside Optimal Systems while the frontend handles presentation and performance.

Optimal Systems (Kyocera) is planned for the Laioutr App Store. Once available, organisations already using Optimal Systems for document governance will be able to connect it to the platform and publish approved content to web pages without manual file exports.
