Speedkit
What is Speedkit?
Speedkit is a frontend performance optimisation service categorised under performance and CDN. It focuses on improving Core Web Vitals scores by intercepting and optimising resource loading on existing web pages, including image transformation, script deferral, and resource prioritisation, without requiring a full frontend rebuild to see measurable results.
How it works
Speedkit operates as a proxy layer in front of the existing site. It analyses the resource waterfall of each page request and applies optimisations including next-gen image formats, lazy loading, preloading of critical resources, and third-party script management. The result is delivered to the browser as if served from the origin, with the optimisation layer transparent to the visitor.
Speedkit with Laioutr
Speedkit is planned for the Laioutr App Store. For teams on the Composable Headless Frontend where Performance and Core Web Vitals are a primary delivery KPI, the Speedkit integration provides an additional optimisation layer on top of the already performance-oriented composable architecture. Once available, teams can use Speedkit's proxy capabilities alongside Laioutr's native edge delivery to address performance regressions introduced by third-party content or non-optimised media assets.
