Spryker

What is Spryker?

Spryker is a composable commerce platform categorised under ecommerce backends. It provides a modular set of commerce capabilities covering B2C, B2B, and marketplace scenarios, delivered through independently deployable modules built on a PHP-based SCOS architecture. Enterprise teams use it where complex business logic, multi-market operations, or marketplace functionality exceed what standard platforms provide.

How it works

Spryker exposes commerce operations through a Glue API layer that frontends consume via REST. Each Spryker module handles a discrete commerce domain such as product, pricing, cart, or order management, and modules communicate through a defined internal API contract. This separation allows individual commerce capabilities to be updated without cascading changes through the full application stack.

Spryker with Laioutr

Spryker is planned for the Laioutr App Store. The Headless Frontend for Spryker connector will allow teams to bind Spryker's Glue API outputs directly to components managed within the Composable Headless Frontend, without building bespoke API adaptation layers. Once available, teams can combine Spryker's modular commerce depth with the Composable Digital Experience Platform to replace monolithic frontend layers with a composable, performance-optimised delivery architecture.
