Uniform

What is Uniform?

Uniform is a visual experience composition platform that lets marketing and editorial teams assemble pages from components sourced across multiple content systems without requiring developer involvement for each layout change. It sits between the content repositories and the frontend renderer, acting as an orchestration layer that resolves components and personalisation rules at request time. Teams managing content at scale across brands and markets use Uniform to maintain consistent structures without centralising all content in a single CMS.

How it works

Uniform stores visual compositions as structured data describing which components appear on a page, in which order, and with which content parameters. Components themselves are fetched from connected backend systems at render time, so the composition layer stays independent of any single content source. Personalisation rules are attached at the composition level, meaning a single page definition can produce different outputs for different audience segments using Content Management data already in the stack.

Uniform with Laioutr

Uniform is planned for the Laioutr App Store. Once available, it will plug into Laioutr's Composable Visual Page Builder, enabling editors to compose pages from components defined in Laioutr's design system while drawing content from whichever backend systems the team has connected. This preserves the flexibility of a Composable Digital Experience Platform architecture without requiring custom composition logic for each new content source.
