Laioutr launches new "Essentials" app store category - MIT-licensed building blocks for every composable frontend

With its first three Essentials apps, Laioutr addresses functions that virtually every e-commerce frontend needs and hands the source code to its agency partners for free customization.

Berlin, May 6, 2026 - Laioutr GmbH today expands its app store with a new category: Essentials. The Berlin-based SaaS company uses it to bundle apps for functions that nearly every composable commerce frontend requires, but which are deliberately not part of the core platform. The category launches with three apps available at Essentials Apps: Laioutr Legal, Laioutr Mailer, and Laioutr SEO.

With Essentials, Laioutr addresses a recurring challenge in composable commerce projects: every frontend needs standard building blocks such as legal text modules, transactional email handling, or basic SEO infrastructure but these don't belong inside the platform itself, because requirements, tooling, and compliance rules differ from shop to shop, market to market, and agency to agency. Instead of forcing these functions into the core, Laioutr provides them as standalone, lightweight apps. Agencies and merchants can use them out of the box or adapt them to the specific needs of their project.

Like every app in the Laioutr app store, the Essentials are released under the MIT license. Laioutr's agency partners get full access to the source code and are free to extend, customize, or use the apps as a foundation for their own solutions with no licensing fees and no vendor lock-in.
