HCLSoftware
What is HCLSoftware?
HCLSoftware is the vendor of HCL Digital Experience (HCL DX), a digital experience platform derived from the former IBM products WebSphere Portal and Web Content Manager.
How it works
HCL took over development in 2018; the purchase of several IBM products for around 1.8 billion US dollars closed in 2019, ending the WebSphere Portal branding. HCL DX runs in Docker and Kubernetes environments, either on-premises or in the cloud. Its portal heritage makes the platform enterprise-oriented and relevant in migration projects.
HCLSoftware with Laioutr
The integration of HCLSoftware with Laioutr is planned. Once available, HCL DX can be connected as a content and experience back end to Laioutr's Composable Digital Experience Platform, allowing existing portal content to be moved into composable frontends.
